Jean-Jacques Louis is Managing Director, Head of Corporate Development of iCapital. Prior to that, he was for over 16 years with Nasdaq as Senior Vice-President, Head of Strategy & Corporate Development from February 2004 until September 2020. His responsibilities included strategic planning & execution, innovation, M&A and minority investments. Jean-Jacques partnered with the senior executive team on defining corporate strategic directions and driving business development projects, executed over 50 acquisitions representing $12bn+ in capital deployed and built a corporate innovation program that included a corporate venture capital practice, Nasdaq Ventures. Nasdaq public valuation grew from $1B to $20B during his tenure. In addition, Jean-Jacques has been a director on several private companies and is currently an independent director on the board of Wiztopic, Inc.
Prior to Nasdaq, he was an M&A banker with UBS Investment bank in New York, NY in its Financial Institutions Group focused on the financial processing, software solutions, payment and exchange sectors. He started his career with Viel Tradition, one of the leading interdealer marketplaces for OTC financial products.
Jean-Jacques received a Master’s in Management from Neoma Business School in Reims, France and an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business in Hanover, NH.
Born and raised in Paris, France, Jean-Jacques lives now in New Jersey with his wife, and their three sons.
