CHARLOTTE, NC – (NEWSWIRE) – Barings, one of the world’s leading financial services firms, announced today an agreement with iCapital Network (“iCapital”). As a part of this agreement, iCapital, which has developed a sophisticated technology platform that simplifies access to alternative investments, will provide Barings with a customized platform to offer certain of its alternative strategies to high-net-worth investors.

Barings offers institutional investors access to a diverse range of opportunities across private credit, private equity, real assets, and real estate. The iCapital relationship will allow Barings to extend access of certain strategies to Registered Investment Advisors and their eligible clients through a streamlined, secure digital interface.

“We are delighted to provide the RIA community with access to an asset class that has traditionally been unavailable through Barings. Clients are looking for a diversified set of solutions that can help them meet their investment goals. Increasingly, alternative investments are an important component of a balanced portfolio, and both our high-net-worth and institutional clients will now be able to leverage the full capabilities of our global investment platform,” said Duncan Robertson, Head of Asia and Global Head of Distribution and Marketing.

“Alternative investments can make a meaningful addition to a portfolio, and iCapital is focused on using technology to break down the barriers that have historically prevented individuals from accessing alternative strategies,” said Lawrence Calcano, Chief Executive Officer of iCapital Network. “This agreement with Barings is an exciting step forward in our mission to democratize alternative investments for the high-net-worth community.”
